According to the official PlayStation website, some servers were experiencing difficulties, with most users having trouble signing in or creating new accounts. The affected platforms included PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5, and the web.
Down Detector showed that 88% of the complaints were related to server issues, 8% reported download problems, and 4% experienced trouble loading the website.
Several users took to social media to share screenshots of the error messages they encountered while attempting to load PlayStation. Here is an example of one such post:
“i literally JUST bought a PS5 and Playstation servers are down,” one user said, along with a photo of the TV screen with the error message.
“@AskPlayStation PSN is down at the moment. I can’t even access my screenshots from the PS App, trying to share anything is slow, and I of course cannot play any games online,” another user said.
